How Much and When?

Science tells us that consuming 30-60 grams + of carbs per hour (even higher in ultra endurance activities), within a session, will enhance performance. Although it may feel early, this should start in the very first hour, ideally 10-15 min pre start. We generally suggest 1-2 gels hourly on top of your electrolyte hydration but trial this in training and adjust to suit you.

PURE Energy Gels are designed to provide fast fuel during exercise in a no-fuss easy-to-use way. PURE gels have carbs in the form of maltodextrin, which is absorbed quickly and used as muscle fuel. Most sports gels on the market are hard to consume with their sticky consistency, taste artificial and can be sickly sweet making them difficult to use for long periods while training and racing.

PURE Fluid Energy Gels are more liquid than a traditional gel making them quick and easy to consume on the go.

Premium Natural Ingredients & Flavourings

We flavour our gels with natural flavourings like real fruit juices, concentrates and fruit purees, premium New Zealand honey, ground kola nut and real cinnamon, giving them a “real” flavour with no nasty after taste.

At PURE we focus on sports science and the nutrient quality of the ingredients we use and use only the best, highest quality, natural ingredients available. PURE Energy Gels are developed in-house allowing us to carefully test and refine our formulations, making sure that every flavour meets our high standards for taste and performance.

When used to fuel exercise, some carbohydrates can cause stomach upsets due to their slower digestion processes. Our gut-friendly formulations are designed to be easily digested and to quickly fuel muscles without upsetting your stomach.

I used Pure gels in a recent ultra marathon and found to be easily digestible and quickly eliminated cramps on what was a hot day. My only gripe are the sharp edges on the gel package which cut into the side of my mouth/lips.

Love love love, definitely going to get again

Tip Tuesday!!

recently found an unbelievable hack with these gels. I've been adding them in my bottles on my long brick sessions and adding 4x gels per bottle and havent felt this good for some time. Its managed to keep my hydration levels at bay and also kept me focus and locked in due to its caffeine content Ive said it before and ill say it again. These are THE Gels to use!

I was a bit annoyed to find all the Gels were Best By Sept 2026. They still taste great

Love this flavour, not too intense, super easy to get down and stay down!

Purchased as a gift for a friend to try - I am a big fan of most of flavours so thought it was a good way for them to find something that suits their preferences.

just delicious and nutritious

Awesome taste

Awesome taste great source of energy

Not too sweet - easy to consume! Been handing it out to friends during sports matches which they've thoroughly enjoyed :)

Love the pure gels! Gentle on my stomach, love the cola with a hit of caffeine as part of my rotation during a long run and a marathon. Highly recommend!

This is the way to do it!

Love my PURE cola gels - having sampled most of the range, this is the one I keep coming back to. With 6 Half Marathons and 2 Full Marathons coming up this summer (not to mention the training work) having a decent stock of these is essential. The Box of 18 gives you a stock that can get you through a good amount of the prep work, as well as the big days.

Excellent

Excellent

Tasted better than most gels I have tried as it's more liquid than a thick get stick in your mouth gels that are out there. Gave me the energy to finish my run. Would definatly reccommend. Just wished other flavours came in a 8 box option ☺️

Great product, sits well in the gut.

I love these gels, easy to use and good subtle flavours.
